New visa subclasses are going to be introduced by Australia in November 2019

Updation is visa and point system
The new updates in Australia will be implemented from November 16, 2019. the skilled regional visa (subclass 489) is going to be replaced by a subclass 491 Skilled work (provisional) regional visa. The point system is going to ensure that the applicants are getting extra points by the government.

Partner visa
Some of the major changes made in the point system include:
  • De facto partner or skilled spouse will be granted with 10 points.
  • An applicant nominated by the territory or state government will get 15 points extra. This is only valid for those who are going to lodge an application in regional areas.
  • Who have completed their education in technology, science, engineering and mathematics subjects will get extra 10 points.
  • 10 points will be granted to single applicants.
  • 5 points in case your de facto partner or spouse has a cracked language proficiency test.
